October 16th, 2007

Officers Present: Charles Lin, Yuzhi Zheng, Michael Wachenschwanz, Daiwei Li, John Chai, Aashish Sreedharan, David Liu, Andrew Su, Manisha Vashista, Toshitaka Tachibana, Edward Lu

The meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm.
 

Hey Everyone,

These are topics we discussed in this meeting.

• Old Business
  • CalGames:
    • In the qualifiiers we were placed 4th.
    • Made it to semi-finals, where we lost.
• New Business
  • Laser Quest Social :
    • 2 Prospective dates:
      • 11/9 or 11/10.
  • T-Shirts:
    • Designs due on Novermber 14th.
    • Michael's in charge.
    • Alternate apparel is Beanies, and mayeb Polos.
  • After School Meetings:
    • First RC Car buliding meeting is this friday, 10/19, after school at Mr. G's house.
    • May start programming meetings in Mr. Peck's rooms.
  • Technical Mentor Meeting:
    • 12/4
  • Dilworth FLL Team:
    • Dilworth has one.
    • First year.
    • Mostly programming help needed.
    • They've registered.
    • They've already started to build their robot.
    • Game:
      • 13 Missions.
      • Each mission earns points, for a total of 400.
      • All missions related to Power and Energy.
      • Meetings:
        • Firday from 6-8
        • Sunday from 2-5
    • Jim Beck - Chairman's:
      • Most likely October 30.
    • Fundraising Ideas:
      • Go to local businesses.
      • Get sponsorship from Machine shops.
      • Go to realtors.
    • Botball:
      • March 1st is their competition.
    • Regional:
      • Boston is full.
• Officer Reports:
  • Daiwei Li:
    • We have $5200, expected to have $12,000.
  • John:
    • Tommrow's member meeting, we'll have a presentation.
  • Manisha:
    • Grant Meeting:
      • New parents mostly.
      • Some new grants assigned.
        • Autodesk, Bank of America, Exon, Albertson's.
  • Michael:
    • Maybe we could do 2 socials?
• Open Floor Discussions:
  • Constitution:
    • Have made the changes, and will talk about them next week.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:29 pm. (Now we've started a trend of the meetings being less time than the previous meeting.)
