May 29, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:13 pm.
 

Hey Everyone,

These are topics we discussed in this meeting.

• New Officer Material - The officer binders, and the various parts of the binder, including the "Home Work" and the requirements were introduced.
• Team Dinner - This occured on the 26th, and was a banquet to honor the Menotrs/Parent Advisors.
• Calders Academy -
  • At Calders Academy, the 5 people there split into 2 teams, one worked on the VEX, while the other worked on a kit called the ARobot.
  • VEX was finsihed by the end, but the ARobot was not.
  • We'll probably meet with the people from Calders Academy to work out the curriculum.
• Miller Meeting - This will be cancelled
• Tech Museum - Every year we go over to tech museum, and show our robot to the people who come there. It's on June 10th.
  • Michael will be in charge of the fliers.
  • We'll play John's Video.
  • There will be 2 shifts.    
• Committe Applications - Done by the officers who'll head committees.
• Officer Reports - Only 2 officers had anything to report:
  • David - Miller has been cancelled.
  • Stephen & John
  •  - What we did at Calders Academy
• Open Floor Discussion:
  • 3-V-1 officer meetings will occur over the summer.
  • A socail or a retreat may occur during the summer.
  • Mini-Projects:
    • Small groups of students build robots.
    • Dismantle Bike-Bot.
  • CalGames:
    • Unanimous vote to do it again this year.
    • Mr. G will handle the payment.
  • RoboCode:
    • Members will build virtual robots, most probably coded in JAVA, and have tournaments.
    • This may happen, still unsure.
  • Officer Elections:
    • Vote for Webmaster and Historian:
