The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.
Hey Everyone,
Some of the topics we discussed today were:
-Cal Games: This event is like a mini FIRST Competition but lasts for only one day. We need volunteers to help set up the field.
-Fleet Week Oct. 7-8: During this fundraising event in San Francisco, we sell merchandise and hot dogs at booths, and earn a lot of money for our club. Members should sign up to come on Sat or Sun., expect to be there for most of the day.
-Robo Nexus: Interested in PR? Or gaining public speaking experience? Then come to Robo Nexus, which is the same weekend as Fleet Week. You will be expected to explain this years’ robot to adults and ask for donations.
-T-Shirt / Sweatshirt Design Contest!! – Anyone interested in creating a t-shirt or sweatshirt design, should submit designs to me at meghan.mahajan@gmail.com by the end of September. The t-shirt must include the following information: the team # (846), and “Lynbrook Robotics”. Remember, the more attractive you make the designs; the more people will want to wear the shirts/sweatshirts at school.
-Officer Meetings: If you want to become more active in Robotics and participate in important decisions regarding the club, then come to the officer meetings which will be Tuesday’s after school in Mr. Peck’s room.
